The Tekneka 170 is a frying oil tester that helps you determine the quality of frying oil with a range of 0-40%TPM. It can also measure temperatures from 30 to 200°C (86 to 392°F). This frying oil tester has an LCD that shows both the value and the temperature of the total polarizing material (TPM). You can measure the age and quality of the cooking oil with the TPM valve. Quality degrades over time under the influence of heat. The TPM value measures thermal oxidative stress in the frying oil and the multicolored LEDs indicate the quality of the oil directly.
