The PCE-CSM 3 colorimeter is designed for quality control purposes and is known for its high precision. This instrument allows the user to select from various color spaces, including CIE LabCh and CIE Lab*, to perform measurements. After taking a measurement, the obtained value can serve as a benchmark for future comparisons, enabling users to record subsequent readings as samples and effortlessly compare them against the established reference value.
Besides showing the specific coordinates for each color space, the colorimeter also presents the variance between the readings. The device has the capacity to hold up to 100 reference values and as many as 20,000 sample readings. Furthermore, the measured data can be exported to a computer through its USB port. The device comes with specialized PC software included in its package for this purpose.
