The innovation of the Schutz Messtechnik GMS 4000 instrument is universal for gas leak detection, network control, and gas analysis. Thanks to infrared measurement technology, the meter can determine natural gas and CO2 accurately and without cross-sensitivity. The GMS 4000 detects heavy gases, oxygen, hydrogen sulfide, and carbon monoxide (optional sensor). In addition, ethane/propane analysis is possible with measurement data storage.

Bluetooth interface and GPS receiver are available. It is also possible to store data with GPS coordinates and transmit the data to a PC to record the route.
