Frequency Asked Questions
How is coating thickness measured?
Ultrasonic paint thickness gauges can measure the thickness of coatings on non-metallic substrates. The colorimeter’s probe contains an ultrasonic transducer that sends a pulse through the coating. The pulse is reflected from the substrate to the transducer and converted into a high-frequency electrical signal.
