The PCE-354 Sound Level Meter is a precision instrument designed for measuring and monitoring sound levels in various environments. This meter is commonly used in industrial settings, workplaces, schools, and public spaces to ensure compliance with noise regulations and to assess potential health and safety risks related to noise exposure.
The compact, handheld sound level meter has numerous features, including the ability to calculate Leq values, measure peaks, and have changeable measurement ranges. To further help you determine whether a limit has been crossed, the sound level meter also can use the MAX feature to freeze the highest recorded figure. The Leq value, which shows the equivalent continuous sound level—that is, the time average of all sound events over an observation period—after a time is entered, is the unique feature of the sound level meter.
