PCE-RVI 1 is an analog viscometer or dial reading viscometer used in industrial and research applications to measure the viscosity of liquids such as paints, lacquers, inks, pastes, adhesives, plastics, greases, and liquid food products. Under the same conditions, test results from an analog viscometer are as accurate and repeatable as those from a digital viscometer. The PCE-RVI 1 analog viscometer therefore provides an affordable solution for viscosity measurement during product and materials testing, development, production and quality control.
Prepare the liquid to be measured and place it in a beaker or right-angled container with a diameter of at least 70 mm and a height of at least 130 mm. Adjust the lifting screw and place the spindle into the liquid until the level mark on the spindle reaches the surface of the liquid.
Plug in the power source, turn on the machine, turn the speed adjustment knob, select the speed and release the sliding control lever. When selecting a rotation speed of 6 or 12 rpm, the final measurement value can be read when the pointer is stable. When selecting 30 or 60 rpm, press the cursor control key after the cursor stabilizes, turn off the power, and then read the last measured value.
