There are two connections for type T or type K external thermocouple probes on the testo 175 T3 temperature logger. The data logger is therefore perfectly suited to conduct temperature recording on two channels. For example, doing this is essential if you want to ensure that a heating system is functioning properly.
The testo data logger simultaneously measures the flow and return temperatures to accomplish this. If process temperatures need to be monitored at several places, the data logger can also be employed in industrial production control.
The thermocouple probes chosen will determine the measuring range and accuracy. With the right probe, it is theoretically possible to monitor temperatures between -50 °C and +1 000 °C. On the clear display, you can see the current measuring values, minimum and maximum readings, specified limits, exceeded limits, and the amount of battery life left. This allows you to read significant figures whenever you want and eliminates the need to immediately read out the temperature logger on the PC if you want to quickly check any data.
Even with shorter measurement intervals, customers only need to rarely see the temperature logger, so its extended battery life of up to 3 years and large measurement data storage of up to 1 million readings are especially helpful. Regular batteries (AAA), which you may also change on your own, can power the data recorder. When taking temperatures in a dirty or dusty environment, these tips are very helpful: The temperature logger is protected from the entry of dust, water spray, and jets according to protection class IP 65.
Good to know: Saved measurement data will not be lost even when the battery is empty or replaced. You can therefore rely on a high level of data security when using the temperature logger.
