A portable handheld leak detector called PCE-LD 1 is used to find CFC/HFC refrigerant gas leaks. Even in situations where other gases are present, this extremely sensitive leak detector can find gas leaks from HVACR refrigeration systems. The end of a flexible gooseneck tube of 390 mm (15.35 in) in length houses the gas sensor, providing unmatched access to confined spaces.
The performance of the Leak Detector PCELD1 is divided into two main stages: leak detection and leak point location. Leaks in various systems are found using a variety of methods, including pressure, sound, temperature, and gas detection, during the leak detection stage.
Depending on the technology being utilized, the Leak Detector gadget has the potential to pinpoint the precise position of the leak site at this stage. For instance, if the gadget uses gas detection, the PCE-LD1 gas detector can find the leak by identifying the concentration of gas near the leak. Alternatively, if it employs sound detection, it can find it by listening for the sound wave the leak site emits.
