The PCE-DT 65 is a versatile digital handheld tachometer suitable for both contact and non-contact measurements of rotation and linear speed. This device integrates a laser for non-contact measurements, where reflective tape placed on the moving part is used to detect speed. For contact measurements, the tachometer comes with a mechanical attachment and various probes to suit different applications. It’s capable of measuring speeds ranging from 2 to 99,999 rpm optically and 2 to 20,000 rpm mechanically, with a resolution of 0.1 rpm at lower speeds and 1 rpm at speeds above 10,000 rpm. The accuracy is noted as ± 0.05% of the reading plus 1 digit, ensuring precise measurements across its range.
