The Kyoritsu 5406A can test a wide range of RCDs including standard, selective, AC, and A RCDs (DC sensitive circuit breakers), with a digital display of trip times and auto ramp function available. The 5406a kyoritsu includes a custom microprocessor for high accuracy and reliability, and also features a 0 and 180 phase angle switch, allowing for fast testing and consistent readings. Accuracy is also maintained by the constant current source circuitry, ensuring that voltage fluctuations from the mains do not affect the readings.

The Kyoritsu 5406A includes 3 LEDs to verify the correct wiring status and a visual indication of reversed-phase and neutral wiring tap. Designed with an IP54 rating, the 5406A features a large custom digital display and is supplied with molded plug test leads, a cable pouch, and a shoulder strap.
