Even without that, I still think the card is going to be worth paying the full equip cost sometimes

From my impressions and ideas so far, I really enjoy where Wizards is going with Khans of Tarkir

But I do believe what we did with it is fairly new, which is the idea that only some cards can be used as Ink It adds a level of variance that's important to trading card games

This means you can only cast them on your turn, during one of your two main phases, and only when there are no effects currently on the MTG Stack (about to resolve)
